Exhibitions Project Coordinator

2022 - present

  • Leading complex exhibition projects across ACMI’s permanent and temporary spaces

  • Managing exhibition schedules, budgets, resources and logistics

  • Leading diverse teams of curators, registrars, AV technicians and external contractors

  • Coordinating contractual agreements with external suppliers and contractors involved in the design, build and delivery of exhibitions and managing all procurement documentation

  • Supervising a team of casual crew and external contractors during installation and de-installation of exhibitions, including inductions, daily briefings and ensuring safety standards

  • Ensuring compliance with facilities and providing a safe exhibition environment for staff and visitors.

  • Strategically planned the gallery's exhibitions program of exhibitions of new work by leading mid-career Australian artists and art prizes

  • Worked in close collaboration with artists to produce new work

  • Strategically planned and managed the exhibitions program including permanent, temporary and international touring exhibitions (up to ten exhibitions per year across five spaces)

  • Developed and managed the annual curatorial budget

  • Managed a team of curators, registration staff and volunteers

  • Managed a collection of 20,000 objects and artworks including incoming and outgoing loans, conservation, storage, cataloguing and database maintenance

  • Managed the development and implementation of IMu

Major Exhibitions:

Love & Legacy

Produced in collaboration with Multicultural Museums Australia, this award-winning exhibition celebrated Melbourne's Jewish grandmothers.

  • Researched the Museum's collection to identify suitable objects, photographs and documents

  • Sourced objects and documents from the community

  • Commissioned a photographer to produce a series of portraits 

  • Produced a 45 minute documentary film including interviews with 10 grandmothers

  • Designed and installed the exhibition 

Amy Winehouse: A Family Portrait 

An international touring exhibition from the Jewish Museum, London

  • Managed the re-design and installation of the exhibition

  • Managed the budget, contractual agreements, freight, insurance, customs, couriers, conservation requirements, condition reporting, risk assessments and copyright restrictions.

2014 - 2015

 

  • Planned and delivered the onsite and touring exhibitions program

  • Managed a collection of 16,000 artworks 

  • Responsible for all storage, display, conservation, registration, acquisitions and research
